Some portraits hang on a wall. Others hold a whole life.

FERNFAWN began the way most good things do — with one animal we couldn't 
imagine forgetting. We went looking for a portrait that felt calm, modern, 
and actually looked like them. What we found was either dated, or a photo 
run through a filter in four seconds. So we made our own.

Today we create modern, hand-illustrated portraits for Australian homes. 
You send us a photograph. One of our artists sits down with it and draws 
your companion by hand — the exact fold of an ear, the weight of a gaze, 
the small details that make them unmistakably yours.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT

Every portrait is drawn by a human artist. Not by AI. Not by a filter. 
Not by an algorithm. A real person studies your photograph, builds the 
illustration stroke by stroke on a tablet, matches every marking and 
shadow, and refines it until it looks back at you the way they do.

This is the slow part. It is also the whole point.

Australian orders are printed and framed in Australia — museum-grade 
200gsm archival paper and solid timber framing, dispatched by tracked 
local couriers. No overseas dropshipping. No long waits at customs.

OUR PROMISE

You should love your portrait before we print it.

Within 1–2 business days of your order you'll receive a digital proof to 
review, with unlimited complimentary revisions. Nothing goes to print 
until you personally approve it. If we can't create something you're 
genuinely happy with, we refund you in full before anything is printed.

Once approved and printed, each piece is made to order. If your portrait 
arrives damaged or is not what you approved, contact us within 30 days 
and we'll replace it. This is in addition to your rights under Australian 
Consumer Law.
